Safe + Sound Week
Governor Henry McMaster signed a proclamation recognizing August 12-18, 2024 as Safe + Sound Week in the state of South Carolina and urging all citizens to join in this recognition.
Please join South Carolina OSHA, federal OSHA, businesses, and organizations nationwide to recognize the importance and successes of workplace safety and health programs during Safe + Sound Week. The week-long event encourages employers to implement workplace safety initiatives, and highlight workers' contributions to improving safety. Every workplace should have a safety and health program that includes management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and correcting hazards. Businesses that incorporate safety and health programs can help prevent injuries and illnesses, reduce workers' compensation costs, and improve productivity.
Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe.
